Bellanotte

Significant buzz is surrounding the local culinary scene and its ability to attract internationally-renowned chefs. Whether you’re in the mood for high-style dining or a more casual affair, Minneapolis offers many award-winning spots to grab a bite.

Last month’s opening of the Chambers Kitchen, a new restaurant by international star chef Jean-Georges, is the most recent addition to the menu of culinary offerings.

Other notable recent additions include Five Restaurant & Street Lounge, home to Stewart Woodman, one of Food & Wine’s top 2006 chefs; Spoonriver, Café Brenda’s sister location in the booming Riverfront District; Wolfgang Puck’s Asian-influenced Walker Art Center restaurant 20.21, home to the signature Spoon, Cherry and Cube dessert.

But that's not all. The June 2006 issue of Food & Wine raves, "Suddenly, Minneapolis is the most exciting architectural hub in America, with brand-new buildings by the likes of Jean Nouvel and Cesar Pelli – and world-class restaurants to go with them."
